How do I get my people to do the things that need to get done?
As a business grows, it becomes impossible for the owner to do and be everything. Some responsibilities need to be delegated to someone else. The obvious choice is often someone already working in the business. Whilst they may have an understanding of the tasks that need to be managed, they are typically unskilled in leading people. Managing is not leading – in fact we believe it is a completely different skillset.
At Acuity, we believe that you manage things, and you lead people. As such, we provide leadership skills to owners, directors and managers of businesses, and then to the next layer of responsible people in the business. This allows the senior people to set the example of how to behave in the business, and to provide clear direction, so that no-one loses their way.
